Forum Musikvermittlung – Research and Practice
The term »Musikvermittlung« was coined in German-speaking countries to describe a field of practice in music education which bridges the gap between music performance and the listener. The community of practice consists of musicians, music educators, ensembles, schools and concert halls, united by the wish to enable or deepen aesthetic experience with music. Today, the specific structures, formats and self-concepts of this community are increasingly subjected to scientific research. This book series is a platform for scientists and practitioners alike, bringing together a scholarly and practice-related discourse.
