Manfred Weinberg

Manfred Weinberg (Prof. Dr.), born 1959, teaches Modern German Literature at the Charles University in Prague and is there head of the Kurt Krolop Research Center for German-Bohemian Literature. His research interests are interculturality, memory, literary theory and the German literature of the Czech lands. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the »Zeitschrift für interkulturelle Germanistik« (Journal of Intercultural German Studies), the journal »brücken. Germanistisches Jahrbuch Tschechien – Slowakei« (German Studies Yearbook Czech Republic – Slovakia) and the journal of the Korean Franz Kafka Society, co-head of the international and interdisciplinary research network »Prag als Knotenpunkt der europäischen Modernen« (Prague as Intersection of European Modernities) as well as member of the Johann Gottfried Herder Forschungsrat (Johann Gottfried Herder Research Council), the Executive Board of the Gesellschaft für interkulturelle Germanistik (Association for Intercultural German Studies) and the board of trustees of the Adalbert Stifter Verein (Adalbert Stifter Association).
