Václav Smycka (PhD), born 1988, studied at the Charles University Prague German literature and Czech History, and graduated about the historical Imagination of the late Enlightenment. He works at the Institute of Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Science. His main focus lies in Czech and German literature 1750-1850, cultural memory science, cultural theory and the theory of history.
