Anna Artwinska


Anna Artwinska, born 1977, is professor of Slavic literature and culture studies and chair of the Center for Women's and Gender Studies at Universität Leipzig. Her main research interests are the memory of communism in Slavic literatures, postcatastrophic representation of the Shoah, the concept of generation, (auto)biographical writing, gender studies and postcolonial studies. In 2015, she was awarded the Hamburg teaching prize for outstanding achievements in university teaching.
